EVIX-USB- Demonstrates a USB power source and battery charging

Eight Solar Bits convert sunlight to a charging current of 40 mA to four rechargeable AA alkaline batteries connected in series/parallel for 3 V. The AA batteries drive an efficient DC/DC boost converter that provides power to a external USB appliance. The output, a regulated 5 V supply, is brought out to both a USB Series A receptacle and a screw terminal block.
