The successful candidate will, after training:

  • Test and debug high voltage electronic instruments;
  • Test, debug and repair electronic subassemblies and high voltage instruments;
  • Assist in circuit testing, design and prototype of new electronic subassemblies and instruments;

The candidate should possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Strong analog background;
  • An associates degree in electronics or electrical engineering, or equivalent;
  • Two to five years of hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing, R&D and electronic troubleshooting;
  • Able to solder, remove and replace;
  • Able to identify, and understand the function of, common electronic components (i.e. resistors, capacitors, transistors, IC’s);
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams, and test and debug a circuit using the schematic, wiring diagram and sound troubleshooting techniques;
  • Able to operate and read an oscilloscope, voltmeter, Ohm meter, pulse generator and power supplies;
  • A positive, can-do attitude, an eagerness to learn;
  • Able to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment a must;
  • Able to use MS Windows programs such as Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, and Outlook;

The following skills, although not required, will weigh heavily in the candidate’s favor:

  • Experience in high-voltage, analog circuitry (i.e. high voltage DC, RF or pulsed power supplies or amplifiers);
  • Experience in pulsed-power systems (high voltage pulse generators, pulse amplifiers, etc.);
  • Experience in microprocessor and digital troubleshooting;
  • Experience in the development and implementation of automated test systems;
